Powdered detergent or laundry powder is one of the most common cleaning agent. It helps remove dirt and stains from clothes and most fabrics.


  • Ladle- wooden or plastic
  • Measuring cup and spoon
  • Transparent plastic bag
  • Pail
  • Gas or electric stove
  • Bottles
  • Weighing scale
  • Hand gloves


  1. Soda ash- 1,000g
  2. Linear Alkykyl Benzene Sulfuric (LABS)- 160g
  3. Distilled Water- 100 mL
  4. Sodium Tripolyphosphate (STPP) -40g
  5. Sodium Sulfate- 800g
  6. Sodium Metasillicate- 100 g
  7. Sodium Sulphite- 40g
  8. Sodium Perborate- 60g
  9. Carboxy Methyl Celluse (CMC)- 20g
  10. Coco Fatty Alcohol Sulfate (CFAS)- 24g
  11. Speckles- 10g
  12. Ariel- 5 ml

This makes 2 kilos of powdered soap


  1. Mix soda ash and LABS. Use wooden ladle while mixing.
  2. Add water at least 100 ml. of water.
  3. Mix thoroughly. Let it cool.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients and mix.
  5. Add perfume if desired, and then pack it for retail.
